The easiest policy to set up

Having put all the info in through the comparison site, setting up the policy and paying was as straight forward and as easy as anyone could wish for. All the information was transported across. Other insurer sites that I’d clicked through to from the comparison site were so confusing – suggesting upgrades to things I thought were already on the policy as per the info on the comparison site. I’ve never used an insurance company to make a claim before, so I have no info on that side of things.

I had previously been quoted £293 but…Stressed Out

I had previously been quoted £293 but unfortunately had a cancer diagnosis which overtook everything in the last 10 days. Although technology is the way to go, in these circumstances it would have been easier if I could have spoken to someone. I have been trying to sort out the insurance this morning and got to the pay point. On my phone it stated to wait to go to app to authorise payment. It took forever so I exited and went to tablet. I had to go through the whole process again (very stressful) I realised once at pay point on tablet the ‘green box’ which said continue to app was very visible. This was not the case on my phone hence I started again. This also resulted in the cost going up by a further £6 in a very short time. So in total it seems my cancer diagnosis has now cost me a further £61 to renew my car insurance – Not happy 🙁😡

Abysmal non existent customer service

Progressed a claim through my work health policy. Mostly was OK apart from when you need to speak to someone. Aviva obviously employs the minimum personnel possible for customer service as you cannot get through to anyone. Abysmal customer service considering the cost of the policies.

I have repeatedly tried to speak to a customer services adviser today. I have accessed the online MyAviva and chat. Despite waiting times approximately 25 minutes I was disconnected after first 20 minute call? I am ,as I write in a queue ( at least 25 minutes)to speak to an adviser .
This is the first time I have needed to make contact and quite frankly I am very dissatisfied with the long wait times and have yet to get through to an adviser.

Quick and easy

I got a car insurance quote on a comparison site and progressed from there to the Aviva site. The purchase process was easy and very quick. Within a matter of a very few minutes I had a new policy sorted. They even verified my Protected No Claims Discount, which in the past I have usually had to do myself!

Aviva Zero are without doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. From a chat service where the agents are completely uninterested, a claim left open for nearly a year despite assurances it was closed, to stripping away of NCD. Completely disjointed customer service structure.

I will be referring this to the financial ombudsmen.

Change of personal details

I have a simple request. My credit card details have changed and I need to provide new details to an adviser because I’m about to renew my policy. Apparently Aviva no longer employs actual advisers who will speak with customers. So I may just cancel my policy and take my business else where. I guess this is a new development but not everything can be done online. Very disappointing from a company I’d always rated highly.
